I’m a Madison-based freelance researcher. I work with historians, fiction writers, filmmakers, students, family historians, academic researchers, self-published authors, and small business owners to discover primary sources, provide accurate and detailed contextual information, refine and expand evidence, and enrich narratives with images and personal stories. I’m a trained librarian and historian with access to specialist online resources and the collections of the Wisconsin Historical Society and other rich collections in the Upper Midwest. I offer expert research services, archival file scanning and image reproduction, editing and content writing, citation verification and formatting, and other services.

I can help with everything from quick fact-checking to scanning archival materials to searching microfilm newspapers to tracking down and reformatting references to developing evidence and context for large-scale non-fiction, short stories, memoir, biography, documentary, and family history projects. As an experienced online instructor, I offer online one-on-one training and research consultations to help you learn new skills in online and in-person research, citation management, project organization, and more.
